The fair is free and will be open from 10 am to 2 pm. This is an opportunity to make sure family is ready for any potential disaster that may happen. In addition the Boy Scouts will be holding a food drive for the Idaho Foodbank, so you are encouraged to bring a donation of non-perishable food.

Warhawk Air Museum, NampaP-40 Days will be this weekend at the Warhawk Air Museum in Nampa. This is a tribute to the AVG Flying Tigers, the aviators who flew into China just prior to WWII. The special guest speaker is Ed Maloney, founder of the Planes of Fame Museum in California. He will be here both Saturday and Sunday. Three of the Curtis P-40's will be flying and there are a limited number of sponsorship flights available.

Alano Club"My School Musical" is the latest show for Prairie Dog Productions and will open this Friday night and run through June. The musical, comedy, parody, farce is great for the entire family with lots of laughs and fun. Shows are on Friday and Saturday nights and there are three matinees on June 7th, 14th, and 21st. Nampa High SchoolThe Bob Lebow Bike Tour is coming up on Saturday June 13th. The annual tour involves several different lengths but all the rides will start and end at Nampa High School. Park Center PondFree Fishing Day is coming on Saturday June 13th. You don't have to have a fishing license on that day to fish anywhere in Idaho. Everyone is encouraged to get out and take advantage of the day. If you have never tried fishing and would like to try you can attend a free clinic at Park Center Pond from 9 am to 2 pm on that day where equipment and lessons will also be free.

Eagle Hills GolfThe Horizon Hospice Golf Tournament is coming on June 5th at the Eagle Hills Golf Course. This tournament raises funds for Angels Anonymous, which helps provide funds to patients who can't afford end of life care. The cost for the tournament is $90 for an individual or $350 for a team. Stagecoach Theatre"Leading Ladies" is the latest production for Stagecoach Theatre. The comedy features two struggling British Actors who want to embezzle money by impersonating their long lost nephews who turn out to nieces, forcing them to dress in drag. The show opens this Friday and has a four week run at the theatre in the Hillcrest Shopping Center off Overland and Orchard. City Light Home for Women and ChildrenThe "Ride for Rescue" is coming up on May 30th. This ride which is open to everyone will raise funds for the City Light Home for Women and Children through the Boise Rescue Mission. Sage Valley Middle SchoolThe annual Scout Fair is tomorrow at Sage Valley Middle School. All Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts or anyone interested in Scouting are invited to this event. Activities will take place from 10 am to 3 pm including a Coast Guard Helicopter and Army National Guard Black Hawk Helicopter. Zoo BoiseThis Sunday will be Zoo Daze and will kick off the summer season. Eagle FoothillsThe 14th annual Diabetes Ride will be this Sunday in the Foothills North of Eagle. Registration starts at 10 am and the cost is $35 per person or you can raise pledges. Prizes will be awarded to who ever raises the most donations for Diabetes. The proceeds of the ride will go both Camp Hodia and the Humphreys Diabetes Center. High Desert Harley-DavidsonThe "MDA Ride for the Cure" is this Sunday. This is a fund raiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and will involve bikers from all over the valley. Everyone is welcome and there is just a $20 registration fee. The ride includes a breakfast, ride pin, ride card, and dinner later at Joe's Crab Shack. Registration starts at 9 am at High Desert Harley-Davidson in Meridian and the ride will begin under police escort at 11 am.

Main Post OfficeThe Letter Carriers will be gathering food for the Idaho Food Bank tomorrow and you can help by making a donation. All you have to do is put the food out by your mailbox before 9 am. This is the 17th annual food drive and is one of the major events of the year for the food bank. This comes at a critical time for the food bank as shelves are depleted.

Hyde Park Mennonite FellowshipWorld Fair Trade Day will be celebrated next week, May 13th - 16th at the Hyde Park Mennonite Fellowship in the Hyde Park area. This is a rug event to raise funds for Bunyaad, a Pakastani Rug Artisan group. The event is free to attend and funds will be raised by the sale of the rugs. St. Lukes, MeridianThe State finals were held today for the "Tar Wars" poster contest. This is a competition held statewide for 5th graders and each school submits its top entry for the finals. The posters are positive messages from 5th graders, encouraging their peers to never use tobacco products. The winner from here will go on to the national competition in Washington D-C.
