We spent the morning at the Veterans Memorial Park. We did have plans with a group but as of this posting I’m not sure what happened. We showed up at the location and the group wasn’t there. I’ll need to investigate further to find out what happened. In the meantime my photographers Mike and Eric spent the morning with me in the park.

Smoky Bear is celebrating his 62nd birthday. The message of Smoky Bear hasn’t changed and we all need to be careful with fire and head warning in certain areas. A Red Flag warning has been issued in the Boise and Payette National Forest because of dry conditions and hot temperatures over the last few weeks. More warnings are likely in the next few weeks as we enter some of the hottest and driest time of the year.
