A day after a lackluster performance against UC Davis (a team the 5th-ranked Boise State Broncos were supposed to blowout), Boise State dropped one spot to 6th in both the AP and Coaches' Polls. Boise State did move to 5-0 with their 34-16 win over the Aggies from the FCS, but Virginia Tech jumped over the Broncos into the #5 spot. Although, the Hokies hold just the slimmest of leads (8 points in the Coaches' Poll, and 15 points in the AP). Boise State remains the highest-ranked non-BCS team, so they're still in-line for a BCS Bowl. TCU is the next highest non-BCS squad, sitting at 9th in the Coaches' Poll, and 10th in the AP.
