Hamburger Pie
Ingredients:
1-1/2 Lbs Ground Beef
1 Cup Chopped Celery
1 Cup Chopped Onion
¾ Cup Chopped Green Onion
1 Teaspoon Dill Weed
1 Teaspoon Seasoning Salt
1 Teaspoon Black Pepper
1 Teaspoon Paprika
4 - 7 inch Pie Shells or 3- 9 inch Pie Shells
1 lb. Ricotta Cheese
4 Eggs
2 Tablespoon Chopped Parsley
4 Tablespoons Grated Parmesan Cheese
Sour Cream, Optional
Sliced Avocado, Optional
Method:
Brown ground beef with the celery, both onions, and all spices. Drain off excess grease. Spoon Beef mixture evenly into 4 7- inch pie shells.(prebake the shells about 4 minutes at 350 degrees to prevent the shell from becoming soggy). Whip together the ricotta, eggs, and parsley. Spread evenly over top of beef mixture. Sprinkle the Parmesan evenly over the 4 pies. Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for about 25-30 minutes. The pie will turn golden brown. Take out of oven and slice accordingly. Top with a dollop of sour cream and avocado slices.(Optional). Each pie serves 3-4. The pies freeze very well.
