Recipes with Puff Pastry
For Nut Crusters
makes 16 sticks
¼ cup brown sugar
¼ cup pureed pecans
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 each 4" X 4" Puff Pastry Squares, partially thawed
2 eggs, beaten
In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, pecans, butter, and cinnamon. Set aside.
Lay Squares on a flat surface. Brush with beaten egg. Sprinkle nut topping on each square and pat down. Using a sharp knife, cut ¼ inch thick strips. Lay strips nut side up, on a lined cookie sheet and bake in preheated 375 degree for about 8 minutes. Serve with honey or caramel sauce.
For Spicy Cheese Sticks
makes 10 sticks
½ cup fresh grated Parmesan Cheese
1-1/2 teaspoons Cajun Seasoning
¼ cup Bread Crumbs
2 each 4" X 4" Puff Pastry Squares, partially thawed
2 eggs, beaten
In a small bowl, combine parmesan Cheese, Cajun seasoning, and bread crumbs. Set aside.
Lay Squares on a flat surface. Brush with beaten egg. Sprinkle cheese topping on each square and pat down. Using a sharp knife, cut ½ inch thick strips. Lay strips cheese side up, on a lined cookie sheet and bake in preheated 375 degree for about 8 minutes. Serve with honey butter.
