Pesky Peacock?
"Adam" is driving everyone nuts!
We had this story on "Today's Morning News" this morning, and I wanted to BLOG about it too in case you missed it!
For a month now, the people in a Coeur d' Alene neighborhood have had to put up with a pesky peacock SHRIEKING every night, in the early morning and into the day too! It turns out it's mating season and the poor guy is trying to find a mate.
(Apparently, screaming helps in that search?? What?)
Well, mating or not - neighbors want something done about him.
"We're all the same, we like him being here, but man is he annoying!" - Kathy Hughes. Neighbor
Kathy Hughes (a woman who lives there and puts up with the rude wake-up calls) says she named him "ADAM" after American Idol's Adam Lambert - who was known for his screaming on stage, and his flashy style. That made us laugh out loud this morning...
Neighbors contacted Fish and Game for help, but F & G says it won't do anything about "Adam" unless he's harming people directly. He's not. So - the shrieking will go on! I guess the people who live in the area won't need alarm clocks?
Emmy Win!
"Today's Morning News" is celebrating an EMMY win this week! Over the weekend in Seattle - we won the coveted award for Best Morning Newscast in our division. We are so excited!

You only see Doug, Larry, me and Edgar on the show - but there are SO MANY people behind the scenes (Producers, editor, camera operators, director, audio, graphics, etc.) who make it all happen.
We couldn't have a show without them! They are simply awesome.

I watch every morning while getting ready for work, its starts my day, knowing what went on while I was sleeping, and what traffic areas to avoid,so I can take the less traveled road to my clients houses..I HATE traffic!!!! Thanks for all you do making it enjoyable news, laughs, serious stuff, laughs, it shows you are enjoying your work,why else would you get up at 2am!!!giggling!!!
Congrats on the Emmy! I watch your show every morning while I work out at the gym. I feel like you, Doug, Larry, Edgar and I are all old friends since we spend that time together. Thanks for the great job that all of you do to keep us informed.
Congratulations!! You guys have earned it! Your morning show gives me a great start each weekday! On the weekends, however....hey, a gal has to sleep in every now & again, right? :)
