Shots fired near Vista
Police have arrested one man after shots were fired in a Boise bench neighborhood.It's still not known if the 38-year-old man shot at officers, but the man did have a gun and police did fire several rounds.
It happened on the 2600 block of Bedford Lane. Police say no was hurt during the incident including the suspect. Police closed Vista for several hours while they investigated.

Hay fire burns near Nampa store
A hay fire burned near a D&B Supply Store early Monday morning in Nampa.
The fire started at about 2:30 a.m. on 12th Avenue north of Locust Lane.
It burned behind the store in hay near some wood pallets.
The store was not damaged, and will be open today.
Battalion Chief Paul Adams of the Nampa Fire Department told Newschannel 7 the fire may have started from spontaneous combustion in the hay.
"We do not know that for sure," Adams said. "We'll be reviewing the store's security camera system to see if we can come up with any assistance from that."
Nobody was injured in the fire.

BPD look for missing boy
Boise police are looking for a missing 8 year old boy. Robert Manwill was last seen last night at around 9:30 pm near his home off West Cherry Lane. Robert is 4'11' and 50 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
Police say an extensive search has been ongoing throughout the night. At this time there is no evidence of foul play and it is possible he spent the night at a friend's home. If you have seen Robert call Ada County Dispatch at 377-6790.

Police: Wet weather causes deadly crash
Police believe wet weather caused a Grangeville man to drive off Highway 95 Friday afternoon, hit a tree and die.
Idaho State Police say it was hailing around 2:30pm when 52-year-old Henry Sharp was driving north on Highway 95.
Police say sharp's car went off the road, hit a tree, and spun hitting a parked car.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say sharp was wearing his seatbelt, and alcohol does not appear to be a factor.

Car vs bike accident sends one to hospital
Another car verses bike accident sent a cyclist to the hospital.
Around 10:30pm Friday night a car was driving north on 15th in Boise.
Police say a cyclist with no helmet and no lights went through a red light on Idaho street and was hit.
The investigating officer on scene said the man was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries.
Officers did not cite anyone involved.

Police work on composite sketch of shooting suspect
A witness and victim are working with officers to draw a composite sketch of a shooting suspect.
Police say the shooting happened last night around 6pm on Smith Avenue in Nampa.
Officers say a 34-year-old nampa man was shot in the leg and was taken to the hospital.
Police are still looking for the shooter.
While looking for the suspect, investigators were lead to a house on West Dewey.
Officers searched the house but did not find anyone.
Anyone with information is asked to call Nampa Police at 465-2257.

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to resign
Governor Sarah Palin (R-Alaska) will not seek re-election in 2010, and will resign within the next few weeks, she told reporters Friday during an off-camera news conference at her home in Wasilla, Alaska. Palin did not say why she's stepping down.
KTUU, the NBC affiliate in Anchorage, reports that Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell will be inaugurated as governor on July 26.
Palin was the 2008 Republican nominee for vice president. She was elected governor of Alaska in 2006. Her name has been mentioned as a possible candidate for president or vice president in 2012.
Palin, formerly Sarah Heath, is a graduate of the University of Idaho.
