Two car fires threatened two homes within minutes of each other.

The first fire started just before 4am Wednesday near Maple Grove off of Irving street.

The parked car caught fire a few feet away from the house causing slight damage to the home.
Firefighters put out the flames quickly before it could do anymore damage.

The second fire started 30 minutes later south of the Cloverdale cemetery on Mesquite Drive -- this car was parked in the front driveway.

Crews put out the flames as soon as they arrived.

Firefighters say both cars are a total loss.
