A power pole near Willow Lane and State Street fell around 3 am. Boise police say a taxi crashed into the pole causing it to fall over, sending sparks flying across the road.

A new pole is being put up now and should be ready around noon today.
There are approximately 90 people affected.
The driver was cited for inattentive driving, no alcohol was involved.
One person was taken to St. Alphonsus hospital.
