Camper rollover blocks I-84 near Broadway

Four people were injured when a truck with a camper shell flipped while merging onto the Interstate in Boise.
Idaho State Police closed part of I-84 for nearly two hours.

It happened just before midnight on the Broadway interchange.

Police say the driver of the camper was a teenager that over-corrected when two vehicles cut them off.

Five people were in the camper and four were sent to St. Alphonsus with injuries.
Police say three were riding in the back camper and two were up front.

No other car made contact with the camper and officers say the young driver just wasn't able to take back control of the RV.

"Two things happened. One we had two vehicles that merged illegally in front of it and then we had a young inexperienced driver that probably overreacted, a little bit that we know right now overcorrected. Once the vehicle started to overcorrect the weight of the vehicle took over from there flipped on it's side obviously causing the damage you see behind me here," said Trooper Sam Ketchem of Idaho State Police.

Police say there was some sort of aggressive driving from the cars that cut off the trailer and police are now searching for them.

Officers say there were two dogs in the camper one is still missing, it's a blonde chihuahua.
If anyone sees it please contact police so they can return it to the family.

Fire destroys Eagle home

Fire has destroyed a home in the Lochwood Estates subdivision in Eagle, and investigators from the Eagle Fire Department will likely remain in the area into the Thursday morning hours.
It started at about 7 p.m. Wednesday evening at a home on North Woodstream Place. That's just off of Ballantyne Road and just south of Floating Feather Road.
The family who resides in the home were not there at the time.
A neighbor and his daughter first spotted the fire, but firefighters say by that time, it had probably burned half the roof.
The neighbors rescued the family's pets out of the garage after calling the fire department.
Eagle Fire Department Chief Dan Friend says no one was hurt, but the fire did cause some traffic issues.
"It could be seen across a big part of the valley. There was a lot of traffic coming in here," Friend said. "The sheriff's office was blocking off the traffic into these neighborhoods. Ballantyne and Floating Feather were attracting a lot of cars."
Firefighters estimate the house is about four-thousand square feet.
Investigators have been out there all night, and are focusing on the rear portion of the house.
They have not yet determined a cause.
