Overnight a man held up a Boise convenience store armed with what police say looked like a butcher knife.

The robbery happened at Jackson's on Five Mile and Lake Hazel just before 1 a.m.

Police say the robber entered the store holding the knife, and demanded money from the clerk.

Sergeant Mike Rowe with the Ada County Sheriff's Office says the robber instructed the only person in the store, aside from the clerk, to leave.

Police are still searching for the suspect, who is described as a 50 year old white male with long gray hair.

Police say the man was wearing a ski mask, a gray sweatshirt with a red stripe, and blue jeans.

He was last seen heading south on foot towards Paul's Market.

No one was injured in the robbery.

Anyone with information is urged to call Police.
