Possible Drowning
Crews are responding to a possible drowning near Bruneau.
It happened just after 9:30pm near Crane Falls Rd.
Police say there are possibly two people involved.
We have a crew headed that way and will have the latest as soon as it becomes available.

Truck into a canal
Two people are safe after their truck careened into a canal, thanks to the quick actions of a passerby.
It happened around 6:30pm at the intersection of Overland and Cloverdale.
Rescue crews say a minivan and truck crashed into each other.
The impact sent the truck into the Canal.
A passerby saw the accident, and used his truck to keep the truck in the canl from floating away.
Six dive members and 4 fire trucks responded to the call.
Mark Senteno with the Boise Fire Department says two people are alive and well thanks to this bystander.

Mercury spill found near Boise home
Some kids were found playing with mercury near a Boise home.
Hazmat crews cleaned up the area in the 700 block of White Cloud Drive last night.
But Boise Fire Department Battalion Chief Jim Gross says today a special team from Seattle will come and check for any more traces of mercury.
He says kids were playing with it in a driveway and some of the chemical got on their clothing.
All of the kids clothes were collected and bagged.
Gross says one child was taken to the hospital by his parents but he wasn't showing any signs of symptoms they just wanted to make sure he was checked out.

Deputy fire chief Dave Hanneman says they're not sure where the mercury came from, but it's possibly from a fire at that house back on July 13th.

Barn fire in Meridian
A barn fire burned overnight, but was put out within a couple hours.
It happened in Meridian on Lake Hazel Road near Linder Road just after 11p.m.
It was put out around 1a.m.
As far as we know it only burned the barn.

Wildfire near Ada and Elmore county line
A fire burned 1,000 acres on the Ada and Elmore county line overnight near three homes.
Fire crews are still on the scene, and plan to be throughout the day.
Bureau of Land Management fire crews say the fire started around 8:30p.m. yesterday and believe a firework was the cause.
Witnesses say three homes were in immediate danger.
Firefighters used three bulldozers and three fire engines to surround the blaze before it could spread.
Crews are still on scene mopping up hot spots and plan to be there most of the day.

Motorcyclist killed
A motorcyclist was killed overnight in Meridian, but investigators aren't sure exactly how everything happened.
It happened in the intersection of Amity and Meridian Road just before 12:30a.m. this morning.
Meridian Police Lieutenant Bob Stowe says it appears the motorcyclist was laying in the road near his motorcycle when another vehicle struck him and the bike.
Police do not know how the man ended up lying in the road in the first place.
They are still trying to figure that out, and have not yet been able to identify the man.

200 acre fire near Celebration park
Flames are out at a fire South of Melba.
Bureau of Land Management fire crews were on the the scene of a 300 acre fire in Owyhee County overnight.
They were called to the scene around nine Sunday night.
BLM Spokesperson Jessica Gardetto says the fire was across the river from Celebration Park.
Gardetto says the fire was isolated in a canyon and didn't threaten any structures.
Fire crews are mopping up the scene right now and will know more later on Monday morning.

Police investigating fatal crash
Canyon County dispatchers say a 28-year-old Nampa man died in a motorcycle accident just before nine Saturday night.
Dispatchers say the man was riding his motorcycle near Robinson Road and Lake Hazel Road in Canyon County when he lost control while driving around a curve.
Dispatchers say alcohol may have been a factor.
Police are still investigating the crash.

Police investigating fatal crash

Nampa police search for drive-by shooter
Nampa police are searching for man they believe is responsible for a drive-by shooting in Nampa.
The shooting happened around 2a.m. this morning on the 400 block of Sunny Lane.
Police say no one was injured.
Police are searching for a suspect and have a vehicle description.
The vehicle is described as a white 19-91 mercury cougar with license plates of 2CCK773.
Officers say the vehicle belongs to 18-year-old Martin Villa of Nampa.

Flames reaching 30 feet burn scrap lumber overnight
Kuna fire crews are still on scene of a scrap lumber fire that started before 2a.m. It happened near Locust Grove and Columbia.
Firefighters say when they arrived on scene they saw 30ft. flames.
One house was threatened but fire crews were able to establish a fireline before it could spread.
Firefighters say they had to use water from a canal to put out the flames.
They are still pumping water here right now to put out hot spots and flare ups.
No one was hurt and the fire is still under investigation.
Fire crews expect to stay on scene for a few hours.

Fire at Middleton retirement community
Fire crews and at least one ambulance were on the scene of a fire at 760 W. Main St. in Middleton, at The Cottages retirement community.
Canyon County dispatch said a car fire spread to a building.

Search underway in Gem County for missing boy
(Updated at 7:35a.m. Thursday)
The search for a missing 10-year-old in Gem County resumed when the sun came up this morning.
Devin Nettleton was last seen about 2:30p.m. yesterday.
Family, volunteers and several agencies are looking for him in some pretty rough terrain that's only accessible with all terrain vehicles and helicopters.
Deputies tell us Devin went four wheeling with his uncle on Tuesday when the four wheeler became stuck.
Yesterday they both went back to get the four wheeler.
While there, Devin told his uncle he was going to walk up to the top of the ravine. That was the last time Devin was seen.
Search crews tells us that they had found Devin's backpack and his shirt near the four wheeler. He is wearing jeans and red and white shoes.
Gem County is heading up the search with the help of Canyon County, the Forest Service, the Bureau of Land Management, and the Idaho National Guard is searching with helicopters.

Man armed with knife robs Boise convenience store overnight
Overnight a man held up a Boise convenience store armed with what police say looked like a butcher knife.
The robbery happened at Jackson's on Five Mile and Lake Hazel just before 1 a.m.
Police say the robber entered the store holding the knife, and demanded money from the clerk.
Sergeant Mike Rowe with the Ada County Sheriff's Office says the robber instructed the only person in the store, aside from the clerk, to leave.
Police are still searching for the suspect, who is described as a 50 year old white male with long gray hair.
Police say the man was wearing a ski mask, a gray sweatshirt with a red stripe, and blue jeans.
He was last seen heading south on foot towards Paul's Market.
No one was injured in the robbery.
Anyone with information is urged to call Police.

Grass fire in Ada County
Fire crews are on scene of a large grass fire on Cloverdale in Columbia in Boise.
It happened around 10:30pm.
We have a crew on scene and they tell us at the fire was near a residential area.
Ada County Dispatch says the fire is now contained.

Windstorm at campsite downs trees
A sudden wind storm at Redfish Lake downed several trees and caused a lot of damage.
Custer County dispatch tells us the damage happened in the Stanley-Redfish Lake area.
A camper called Newschannel 7 overnight and told us the winds knocked down a lot of trees where he was staying.
He told us his brother, and two others were hurt during the microburst.
Dispatch says the storm came quickly and ended quickly.

Stabbing sends one to the hospital
Garden City Police are still looking for a suspect involved in a stabbing that sent one person to the hospital overnight.
It happened around 1:30 this morning at a mobile home off Iota and 45th in Garden City.
Police say it was a get together involving alcohol that got out of control.
Police say the victim was stabbed two to three times in the torso and face.
Right now they are trying to figure out how many people were present during the stabbing.
Police found the victim conscious on a neighbor's porch .

Truck into canal on Highway 55
A truck pulling two trailers overturned into a canal this morning in Valley County.
It happened on Highway 55 at mile marker 94.3 just after 6a.m.
Dispatch tells us the driver was taken by life flight to a Boise hospital.

Police still looking for man after high speed chase
A man who led police on a high speed chase overnight-- is still on the loose.
Kuna police tell us the chase reached speeds well over 100 mph south of Kuna.
After the chase police found the man's vehicle damaged and stopped in the middle of the road, but he was nowhere to be found.
The man's family had called police -- expressing concern about him after he stormed out of the house.
Police are still looking for him.
Family members have made unsuccessful attempts to contact him and police are concerned for his safety.
