High Speed Chase in Ada County
A man is in custody this morning after police say he lead them on a high speed chase through Ada County.
Police stopped the man's pickup in a field and then tazed him.
They say he was being uncooperative.
The chase ended north of blackcat and victory.
Police say they tried to stop him on main and central in downtown meridian around 2:45 this morning.
The patrol officer believed the driver had been drinking.
The driver did not stop and then lead them on a chase that reached nearly 100 miles per hour.
25-year old Dustin Brumfield faces charges for running from police, DUI and driving with a suspended license.

Nampa toddler in hospital after bitten by dog
A nampa toddler was brought to the hospital after being bit by a dog.
At about eight last night, police responded to a call in a West Nampa neighborhood.
The three year old boy was in a family friend's backyard with several dogs when he was bit.
The dogs have been taken from the residence and brought to the Canyon County Animal Shelter.
The child is in stable condition.

Armed robbery at Boise convenience store
Boise police are searching for an armed man who held up a Jackson's food store.
It happened just before seven this morning at the Jackson's on Eighth and Hays in Boise.
Police dispatch says that the suspect was wearing dark clothing and left on food.
We have a crew on the scene and we will bring you more information as it becomes available to us.

Motorcycle crash on I-84 and Garrity
Idaho State Police responded to a motorcycle crash on Interstate 84 by the Garrity interchange just after 6:30a.m.
Police say a man in his 50's fell off his motorbike after losing control.
Officers say he was up and talking but he was taken to Mercy Medical Center with injuries.
Police say he was wearing a helmet.
One lane on the interstate was blocked for about an hour but dispatch tells us it is now open.

Deadly accident in Canyon County
Police are on scene of a deadly accident in Canyon County.
It happened around seven this morning on I-84 milepost 19.

Power Outages
A power outage was reported just before four this morning.
It's affecting 13-hundred customers from Boise to Idaho City.
It spans from the surrounding area of Highway 21, Centerville, Placerville, Star Ranch, Robie Creek, Clear Creek and wilderness areas.
The cause is unknown but a crew is working to restore power.

Deadly Accident
One woman is in the hospital with severe injuries after a rollover accident claimed the lives of two people.
It happened just after 1:00am on Highway 55 just one mile south of Banks, in Boise County.
Sheriff Deputies say a car rolled over and landed on its roof.
They found two people dead inside the car and one woman outside the car.
Paramedics took the woman to St. Alphonsus; here condition has not been released.
Police are investigating if alcohol was a factor.

Home invasion in Boise
A mobile home robbed at gunpoint.
Now police are looking for the men who did it.
It happened around midnight on the 400 block of Driftwood in Boise.
Police say three men kicked the door open.
They pointed their guns at the people inside, punched one of them and tied up their hands.
The robbers stole money, jewelry, and some video games before they left.
Police are looking for three white men wearing dark clothing.
The first is about 6 feet tall and was wearing a black shirt with white writing on it.
The second is described as about 5'8" to 5'10" with a skinny build.
Anyone with more information is asked to call police.

Fiery Semi Crash in Meridian

MERIDIAN - A fiery semi crash is causing major traffic impacts this morning.
Police say a Chevrolet Blazer t-boned a semi truck at the intersection of Franklin and Eagle in Meridian overnight. The semi was pulling three trailers loaded with food - and caught fire, sending heavy fire and smoke into the midnight air.
Police and paramedics arrived on scene, and helped pull the driver of the semi truck to safety. The driver of the Blazer was taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center where they died.
People who saw the crash said they could feel the heat from a distance.
"There was an impact, and then fire came out from the bottom and up into the air with lots of smoke. (It was) a big fire - and big smoke - really thick smoke, really hot. I could feel it driving by inside my car," Matt Makiya said. "It didn't look too good for the people inside."
After an extensive investigation, tow trucks were brought into remove the massive tractor-trailer.
The intersection has been closed all night -- and the incident took out some of the traffic lights at the intersection. Flaggers are in place to help direct traffic through the morning commute, but drivers are asked to avoid the area today to cut down on potential traffic backups.

Deadly accident in Malheur County
Police are on scene of a deadly accident in Malheur County.
It happened just before 11:00pm on highway 95 milepost 63.5 near the Burns Junction.
Police say a car rolled over killing one female.
Details are limited at this time, but police say they will be there most of the morning investigating the situation.

Boise Home Invasion
Police say a woman fast asleep in her home woke up to find men inside trying to rob it.
The woman told police that a man crept through an unlocked window, told her to get on the ground, while he let two other men inside the house.
Officers say when the woman noticed the other men she quickly began to scream for her boyfriend who was asleep in the back room.
The three men quickly left.
Police say the three men, may be armed.

House fire in Nampa
A house fire in Nampa displaced three people early this morning.
Fire crews tell us it happened just before four this morning on the 600 block of Meadowbrook.
They say it started in the back of the house and worked it's way up to the attic.
The entire attic is destroyed and the roof will need to be replaced.
No cause has been determined.

Nampa Police search for two girls
The Nampa Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding two 12 year old girls.
Haile Falter and Carley Evans were last seen in the 200 block of Gateway in Nampa around 3:30 this afternoon.
Nampa Police say right now there is no indication of foul play, but police are concerned for the girls' welfare.
Haile Falter is described as having brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a pnk and grey shirt with a glittery emblem on the front and blue jeans.
Carley Evans has black hair and blue eyes and was wearing a tan shirt and black capri-style pants.

Lanes blocked on I-84 by Garrity
A crash on the I-84 Garrity overpass is blocking lanes.
Eastbound 1-84 is reduced to one lane between exit 88 and exit 44.
Emergency vehicles are on scene.

House fire in Boise
A house fire broke out in Boise just before three this morning.
The house is located on Wisteria and Golden Rod Near Five Mile.
Windows had to smashed and two ladder trucks were used to drench the house with water.
Fire fighters say when they arrived no one was in the house but they did find two dogs in the backyard.
The house has significant damage.
Crews are still moping up and investigators are in the process of contacting the homeowner.
So far the cause of the fire is unknown.

Fatal crash closes lanes on I-84
CALDWELL-- Police on the scene of a fiery crash along I-84 have confirmed it is a fatal accident. Canyon County Dispatchers say the coroner is on the scene of that crash along the Interstate near Caldwell involving an SUV.
Just before ten, Thursday night, Idaho State Police began rerouting traffic around the one vehicle accident in the westbound lanes between milemarkers 29 and 30. Police also closed down one eastbound lane in that area.
Dispatchers say one child has been taken to West Valley Medical Center.
Police say the car was fully involved with fire but crews have doused the flames.

Car into fence
While you were sleeping, a car crashed through a fence along the interstate in Ada County.
It happened on I-84 Near Orchard around Midnight.
Police say a woman fell asleep and drove her car into a fence bordering a back road.
Paramedics took the woman to the hospital.
Police believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.

Shots fired in Boise
Someone shot up a car overnight in a Boise neighborhood.
It happened on the 10000 block of Trestle Wood.
Deputies say they received a call of shots fired around 2:00am.
When they arrived on scene they found bullet holes in a car.
The caller said he saw a small red car speeding away from the area.
Deputies say they were unable to find the people responsible.
According to deputies, this appears to be a random act.

Mobile Home Fire in Ada County
Fire crews are investigating a mobile home fire that happened earlier this morning.
It happened just before 5:00am on the 2500 block of Janeen Street.
Firefighters say when they arrived the roof was on fire.
They quickly put it out, before it caused much damage.
They are still investigating the cause of the fire.

Police investigate possible homicide in Meridian home

MERIDIAN - Police are investigating a possible homicide in a Meridian home.
Two people entered a house on Snyder and Ocean Ave. near Ten Mile Rd. in Meridian Sunday to feed a cat - when they discovered a body. The victim is described as a 45-year-old man - but further details on his identity have not yet been released.
Meridian Police Chief Jeff Lavey described the scene as "bloody" and said there was obvious trauma to the man's head - but the exact cause of death is not yet known.
Lavey said the death did not happen Sunday, and that the body had been in the home for a few days.
Police say the people who found the body are friends of the victim. A victim witness coordinator is on the scene helping in the investigation.
Meridian Police and Idaho State Police's Crime Lab are working together on the case.

Boise house fire displaces three
A house fire in Boise has displaced three people.
Fire crews responded to the 1700 block of N. Phillippi Street just after 5 AM.
They were called out after a person living in the house smelled smoke.
The fire was put out shortly after.
The residents say their furniture was not damaged, but the fire did cause significant damage to the outside and attic of the house.
The renter of the house says the American Red Cross will be putting him and his family up in a hotel for a few days... but he also says they will have to find a new place to live.
The renter also says fire crews told him that the fire appears to have started in the front of the house, and appears to be electrical.

Shooting in Boise
Just before midnight, Police responded to the 800 block of Orchard near Cassia, to a report of shots being fired.
Officers say that police dispatch heard the shots while on the phone receiving the report.
Police tell us three men broke into a home and tried taking money.
Several people were home at the time.
A fight broke out-- then came the gunshots.
"At this time we are attempting to determine exactly who was involved. We did locate one person near the scene that is possibly one of the suspects. He did receive and injury that correlates with an injury that one of the suspects received at the residents." says Lt. David Adams of the Boise Police Department.
Police say two people inside the home were injured during the fight but have since been treated and released from a local hospital.
One man, thought to be connected with the crime, is being questioned by police.
Police are still searching for a white male, and a black male, both in their 20s.
They were last seen wearing hoodies and bandanas.

Report of shots fired in Boise
Police are investigating a report of shots fired in Boise.
It happened just after 11:00pm near Fairview and Fivemile.
Dispatch says the received several calls of shots fired in the area and are still investigating.

Shots Fired in Meridian
Shots rang out in a Meridian neighborhood last night.
It happened just before ten near Eagle and Ustick.
Police say two officers went to the neighborhood to follow up on a domestic call.
When they arrived at the home, they were met with gun fire.
Police say officers did not open fire, because they knew children were inside.
Instead the left to call for back up.
Everyone in the home surrendered peacefully and police arrested one man.
Police say the officers the man shot at are okay, they're just a little shook up.

Armed robbery in Nampa
Nampa police are searching for the man they say robbed a Stinker Station at knifepoint.
It happened around 9:30pm on the 500 block of 12th Ave. In Nampa.
Police say a man showed a knife and demanded money from the cash register.
Police are looking for a white man 45 to 50 years old. He's between five foot six and five foot eight with a thin build.
He was last seen wearing a blue stocking cap, and a tan and cream colored flannel jacket and jeans.
