Structure fire
Fire crews responded to an apartment fire in Garden City earlier this morning.
It started just before Midnight on the 5 Thousand block of Garrett Just off of Chinden.
When firefighters arrived they found two apartments engulfed in flames.
They quickly evacuated the complex and called for extra asisstance.
The fire damaged 4 apartments.
The fire is under investigation, but officials believeit started because a tenant fell asleep with a candle burning.

Structure fire in Caldwell
A Caldwell family is without a place to live after a fire ripped through their home.
It happened around 2:30 this morning on the corner of Citrus and Florida.
When fire fighters arrived they found heavy flames burning around the front door. The fire damaged most of the grage and the trusses in the attic.
Fire fighters believe the fire came from a holiday decoration placed outside of the house.
Investigators say the pumpkins outside of the house were stuffed with paper instead of candles.
No one was injured, but fire officials say there was around 100 thousand dollars worth of damage.
The famiy will be staying in a hotel.

Amber alert
This is the latest Amber Alert, issued by Missoula Police:

"An Amber Alert is in effect for a missing girl last seen in Missoula, MT. Seventeen year old Annie Plenkovich was last seen yesterday around 1:15 near the Missoula Public Library.
She is five feet, three inches tall and weighs 124 pounds. Annie has black hair and hazel eyes. While she is seventeen, she has the mental capacity of a twelve year old.
Missoula police say she may have left the library with a white male in his thirties. The man has thinning hair and wears glasses. He was wearing blue jeans, a light colored t-shirt and an unzipped jacket.

Body found in Boise
Police found a dead body earlier this morning in Boise.
A passer by called police around 6:30am.
They found the body behind the Hiillcrest Shopping Center near Overland and Orchard
Police roped off the area and called detectives and the coroner.
They say the body is that of a man in his twenties.
We have a crew on scene and will have more information as soon as it becomes available.

Semi accident blocks highway I-84
Police are on the scene of a Semi accident on I-84 milepost 77.
The right hand east bound lane is blocked.

No survivors in Wahington plane crash
An emergency official in Yakima County, Washington, says it appears none of the 10 people survived the crash of askydiving plane in the central Cascades.

Dump truck destroys sign on I-84
Early this morning...a dump truck crashed into an overhead exit sign on I-84 justt East of Vista.
It happened just after one this morning.
Police say a dump truck was headed westbound with it's bed in an upright position, when the bed crashed into the overhead sign.
The force of the crash tore the bed off of the truck.
A little while later a second truck struck a piece of metal that was hanging down from the sign. The metal broke through the windshield.
The driver of the truck was taken to St. Alphonsus with Minor Injuries.
The right hand lane of the westbound interstate was closed for about five hours, but is now open to traffic.

Car burglaries
Nampa police are investigating a string of overnight car burglaries in the southeast area of the city.
Dispatch says about five or six cars were broken into near Greenhurst and Southside Blvd.
They say Cds, stereos, and other items were taken from the cars.
Police have arrested 2 people and are looking for one more.

Police respond to robbery in Caldwell
Police responded to the scene of a robbery in Caldwell.
It happened just after one this morning at the Shell station near Kimball Ave and Logan Street.
Police say two men wearing bandanas entered the store, showed a handgun and demanded money from the clerk.
The suspects took some money and other items from the store and took off on foot.
Police are still searching for the man, and urging anyone with more information to contact police.
