Report of 16 shots fired in Nampa

Around 4:00 this morning police in caldwell responded to a call of shots fired.
It happened near Willow and Indiana.
Witnesses say they heard over a dozen shots fired.
They say the saw two suspects runing from a house in the area.

One person dead after car hits motorcycle

One person is dead after a motorcycle accident in Ada County Thursday night.

Police on the scene say the motorcyclist was killed when a car tried to make a U-turn. The motorcyclist was traveling on Star Road, when the car hit the cycle.

It happened on Star Road just south of Chinden after 7 p.m.

Police say the driver of the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, and paramedics pronounced the person dead at the scene. Police continue to investigate the crash, and the identities of those involved have not yet been released.

Amber Alert out of Meridian canceled

Amber Alert out of Meridian canceled

Authorities issued an Amber Alert for three children abducted in Meridian. Police say the suspect forced the victims car to stop in the road and then he forced all the occupants into his vehicle. Officers say the suspect was possibly headed to Los Angeles, California. Dispatchers tell us they located the suspect vehicle in Ontario, Oregon and have now canceled the alert.

Shots fired in Caldwell

Caldwell Police are investigating a report of shots fired in the 1500 block of Rim View Drive. When officers arrived on scene they discovered the residence had been shot several times. Police also found several shell casings. Caldwell Police say they are following their leads and the investigation continues. Rollover accident on Highway 21 near Lucky Peak

Around 4:00am Ada County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the scene of a rollover accident on Highway 21 near milepost 15, north of Lucky Peak.
Detectives say a woman was thrown from the car.

Armed robbery at Jackson's store in Boise

Boise Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Jackson's store on the 2300 block of Bogus Basin Road. The robbery occurred around 4 a.m. Officers say two men entered the store while the clerk was in a back room. The suspects stole two 18-packs of beer and took off.
Police believe they may be the same suspects that robbed a Maverik at gunpoint early yesterday morning. Stay tuned on KTVB.COM for the latest details in this developing story.

Police investigate armed robbery in West Boise

Boise Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Maverik convenience store.
The robbery occurred around 3:30 a.m., near Cloverdale and Ustick roads.
Police tell us two suspects walked into the store. One showed a gun and demanded money. The other went to the back of the store and stole two 18-packs of beer. Both men ran off with the merchandise.
Officers are looking for a black male, about 5 feet tall with a slender build. He was last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a mask with a long gun or rifle. Police are also looking for a white male, about 5'6" with a medium build. He was last seen wearing cutoff blue jeans, white tennis shoes and a dark jacket.

Ontario fire may be arson

Firefighters from six agencies in eastern Oregon and southwest Idaho responded to a fire reported shortly after 11 p.m. at Baker Packing Company on Southeast First Street in Ontario. The fire started burning a pile of about 14,000 onion crates, which the shed foreman tells us were to be used in about two weeks. The fire is being investigated as a possible arson. The facility was closed Friday, and there were no lightning strikes in the area. An apartment complex and a mobile home park were evacuated as a precaution. Many of the 200 people living near the fire went to stay with family or friends overnight. Firefighters say they are letting the fire burn through the crates, and are watching to make sure it does not spread. Officer involved shooting

Earlier this morning Caldwell police officers shot and killed a 23 year old male at the Maverik near I-84 and North 10th Avenue.
Police say the had a brief conversation with the man, who then fled on foot.
The man produced a handgun, and police immediately opened fire.
The man died at the scene. No officers were injured.
Police believe the man was responsible for a deadly shooting that occurred Thursday night at Wal-Mart, as well as robberies at the Sage and Flying J truck stops.
The Canyon County Critical Incident Task Force is investigating the shooting.

Shooting outside Caldwell Wal-Mart

Caldwell Police are investigating a deadly shooting at the Wal-Mart in the 5100 block of Cleveland Boulevard.
Police say just before 9 p.m., a man in his 30's was walking to his car in the parking lot when another man in a white car approached him.
The two exchanged words and multiple shots were fired.
The victim was taken to West Valley Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Today police are looking for a white car with a 5 and a 9 on the license plate.
They believe the plates are from Canyon County.

Atv accident

Around 4:30 this morning, police responded to a call of an atv accident. It happened on Middlefork Rd. in Garden Valley.
Police don't know the cause of the accident at this time but report that two males were life flighted to a Boise hospital.

Caldwell Officers responded to a call of shots fired around 1:00am in the 500 block of West Ash Street.
According to Witnesses the suspects fired around 5 shots at the house and then took off in a car.
Police took two people into custody in connection with the shooting.

Semi rollover sends driver to the hospital

A semi truck driver was flown by helicopter to St. Alphonsus' after his tractor trailer rolled over on the freeway.
The accident happened around 1:30 a.m. on westbound Interstate 84 near Eisenmann Road.
Idaho State Police Troopers had reduced traffic to one lane while crews clean the wreckage, but both lanes are now open.

Caldwell shooting sends one man to the hospital

Caldwell Police are investigating a shooting at a Wendy's restaurant.
The shooting happened just after 11 p.m. near 10th Street and Elgin.
Police tell us a man was waiting to pick up his order at the drive-thru when a gunman walked up beside his car and fired several shots through the window. The suspect then took off on foot.
The victim was taken to St. Alphonsus' where police tell us he is listed in stable condition.
Officers took one person into custody for questioning. Officers have not said if he'll be charged with the shooting.

Shooting in Wilder sends 19-year-old woman to the hospital

A Wilder woman is recovering from multiple gunshot wounds this morning.
Officers say the 19-year-old woman was shot two or three times when she tried to stop one or more suspects from lighting her mobile home on fire.
Officers responded to the shots fired call around 12:30 a.m. in the 100 block of 5th Street.
Originally the woman was taken to West Valley Medical Center, but she's now at St. Alphonsus' with what police are calling superficial wounds.
Police haven't released much information about the suspect or suspects. We do know they are on the run this morning.

Home invasion

Around midnight police responded to a home invasion on the 24 hundred block of south apple street.
Police say two men held up another manwith a tazer before robbing him.
Police have arrested one suspect and are questioning another.

Fatal Crash

Right now idaho State Police Troopers, and Elmore County Deputies are at the scene of a fatal crash at I-84 eastbound milepost 90.
Police say a semi trailer ran into the overpass, killing the driver.
ITD has shut down the overpass at milepost 90 on I84 near Mountain Home due to damage to the overpass. Traffic is being diverted to the overpass at milepost 95.

Around 4:30 this morning the Boise Fire Department responded to a trailer fire on the 85 hundred block of Fairview Avenue.
The fire sparked around 4:30 this morning.

This morning just before 3am police responded to a 2nd report of shots fired in Nampa.
It happened on the 1700 block of South Juniper.
Police say someone shot the apartment several times.
They say the apartment was occupied at the time of the shooting...but luckily no one was injured.

Trailer fire sparks small grass fire near I-84

A trailer fire shut down part of I-84 in elmore county around 2:30 a.m.
Dispatchers tell us the trailer also sparked a small grass fire about 15 miles north of Mountain Home.
Westbound lanes of Interstate 84 were reduced to one lane for about an hour until crews could put out the flames.

Shots fired in Nampa overnight

A Canyon County man was taken to the hospital after police say he was shot in the leg.
Officers tell us two juveniles tried to break into a truck around 2:30 a.m. on Jerry Lee Lane in Nampa.
Police say the homeowner came out of the house with a shotgun and shot one of the juveniles. He was taken to Mercy Medical to be treated for gunshot wounds.
The other robbery suspect took off on foot.

Parma teen drowns in Boise river

Canyon County Sheriff's Deputies say 16-year-old Eric Douglas Noblitt was floating the river with a group of friends when he slipped off his innertube.
His friends say they saw him walking in the water towards the river bank, but when they looked back, he had disappeared. They tried to look for Noblitt, but when they couldn't find him, they called 911.
Deputies found Noblitt's body just after 9 last night.
He was not wearing a life-jacket.

Fire sparks in Meridian mobile home overnight

Firefighters responded to a two-alarm trailer fire in the 300 block of West Cherry Lane at 11:30 p.m.
When crews arrived, flames engulfed a mobile home and threatened other nearby trailers.
Crews quickly controlled the fire, but the trailer was completely destroyed.
Investigators tell us three people were inside the home at the time of the fire, but they were able to get out safely.
Fire investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.

Nampa Police investigating reports of shots fired

Nampa Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 300 block of 15th Avenue North just after midnight today.
Witnesses told officers that the house had been hit with several bullets.
Police say no one was injured in the shooting, but they do believe the incident is gang related.

2 alarm structure fire

Garden city firefighters are cleaning up the remains of a two-alarm structure fire.
The fire sparked just before six this morning at Competition motorcycles near 49th and Fenton.
Officials say the fire was on the 2nd story and was contained to a storage area.
It took them around 20 minutes to contain the fire.
Although they haven't determined a cause...they suspect the fire started due to an overheated air compressor.
There are no reports of injuries at this time.



Garden City woman stabbed in the leg overnight

Garden City woman stabbed in the leg overnight

A woman was taken to Saint Alphonsus Medical Center after she was stabbed in the leg.
Police say it happened just after 3:30 a.m., at a trailer park on the 4800 block of Adams Street in Garden City.
Witnesses told police they met the suspects at a downtown bar, and that the suspects were staying at the Holiday Inn on Vista Avenue.
Boise Police arrested four people at the hotel at gunpoint.
Right now officers from Garden City and Boise are investigating the incident.

Shots fired in Nampa overnight

Nampa Police are investigating a report of shots fired.
Officers were called to the 500 block of Cedar Park Lane around 2 a.m.
When they arrived police found broken and other evidence that somebody fired shots toward the house.
About an hour later police responded to another report of shots fired on the 1500 block of 4th street.
Officers think that both incidents are related.


June 2008
