Man arrested after high-speed chase
Shortly after midnight, a Nampa Police Officer attempted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle in the area of Garrity and North 39th Street.
The driver, James Spencer, age 50, failed to yield for the officer and fled at a high rate of speed into Ada County.
Ada County Deputies used spike strips to deflate Spencer's tires at Star Rd. and Chinden Blvd. Officers arrested Spencer without further incident.
Speeds during the pursuit reached 95 miles per hour. Spencer was charged with felony eluding a police officer and booked in to the Ada County Jail. He was also arrested on an outstanding warrant.

One killed in Canyon County crash
One person has died in a crash that occurred just after 1:30 Saturday morning at the intersection of Ustick and Farmway roads.
Idaho State Police say a 1991 Isuzu Rodeo was traveling westbound on Ustick Road when it failed to stop at a posted stop sign at Farmway. The Isuzu Rodeo broadsided a 1994 Kenworth Semi, with no trailer, that was traveling northbound on Farmway. There were three occupants in the Isuzu Rodeo. Two were ejected and the driver died on scene. The other two occupants were taken to St Alphonsus Medical Center. The driver of the semi had no injuries. No names have been released. It is unknown if seatbelts were in use or if alcohol was a factor. Idaho State Police and the Canyon County Sheriff's Office continue to investigate.

House fire spreads to Boise hillside
Earlier this morning..the Boise Fire Department along with the Bureau of Land Management responded to a two-alarm structure fire on the 5000 block of North Collister Drive. When firefighters arrived they found a deck in the back of a home completely on fire.
The deck fire spread to the house and also to a nearby hillside.
The fire burned around ten acres.
BLM is still on the scene.

700 arrested in global pedophile ring
British authorities say they've rescued 31
children and smashed a global Internet pedophile ring.
More than 700 suspects have been taken into
custody and the Child Exploitation and Online Protection center
says they include around 200 based in the United Kingdom. The ring
was traced to an Internet chat room called "Kids the Light of Our
Lives" that featured images of children being subjected to
horrific abuse.

Missing boy found
The search for a nine-year-old boy in East Boise is over.
Boise Police say an officer found Jonathan Lawrence shortly after 5 a.m. today in Barber Park.
A volunteer had found his bike in the area minutes before the officer found the boy on a tractor.
Police and neighborhood volunteers began searching for Jonathan after 9 p.m. last night.
The boy had been riding his bike in the area of Boise Avenue and Norfolk Way.
Police were very concerned because he is deaf and autistic.
Again, Jonathan has been found alive, and does not appear to be hurt.
A crew from Idaho's Newschannel continues working to gather information on this story.

Two killed in crash in Sand Hollow area
Two men are dead and a woman is seriously injured after a crash at the intersection of Old Highway 30 and Oasis Road. Idaho State Police say at about 8:40 p.m. Wednesday, a 1999 Toyota Corolla heading eastbound on Oasis failed to stop or yield as a 1999 Ford F-250 pickup heading northbound on Old Highway 30 approached. Police say the pickup hit the Corolla on the passenger side and spun into the parking lot of the Sand Hollow Store. The male driver and a male passenger in the Corolla died at the scene. A woman riding in the car was transported by LifeFlight to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center for serious injuries. The victims' names have not been released.

Canyon County home invasion suspect arrested
Benito Villegas, the suspect wanted in connection to the home invasion robbery that occurred last month on Karcher Road, has been arrested in Nevada. Multiple law enforcement agencies cooperated to make the arrest. The North Las Vegas Police Department contacted Canyon County Detectives last night and told them they had arrested Villegas. The female, Aileen Oropeza, who was being sought as a person of interest in the case was also located in Las Vegas. At this time, she has no local charges. It is unknown if she has been charged with any crimes in Nevada. Villegas was arrested on the one million dollar warrant out of Canyon County. Extradition arrangements will be in process to return Villegas to Canyon County.

Firefighters responding to Meridian house fire
Firefighters are investigating a two-alarm house fire on the 700 block of Havasupai, near McMillan and Locust Grove, in Meridian. The fire sparked just before 7 a.m. When fire crews arrived they saw flames shooting from the roof. Firefighters quickly doused the fire, but we understand it caused significant damage to one of the upstairs rooms. Grass fire sparks in South Boise
Firefighters battled a grass fire in South Boise early this morning.
Flames sparked just before 5 a.m., near Federal Way and Memory Road just off of Interstate 84 at Eisenman Road. Originally crews called for assistance from the Bureau of Land Management, but after they quickly got the upperhand on the blaze, they called off all assistance.

Serious crash on Highway 55
Eagle - One person has suffered life-threatening injuries after a crash on Idaho Highway 55 near the Shadow Valley golf course.
An Ada County deputy at the scene says a car heading south weaved across the center line and collided with a pickup heading northbound. The driver of the pickup was ejected, and was transported by LifeFlight to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center. The driver of the southbound car was transported to St. Al's by ground ambulance. Conditions are unknown.

Police find dead body
Police responded to a report of an injured person on Driftwood.
It was there that they discovered the person was not just injured but dead.
Police are not releasing any more details, but are conducting an autopsy today to find out why he died.
