Semi crash on I-84 east of Mountain Home
6:30 a.m. - Elmore County - A semi truck has overturned in the westbound lanes of Interstate 84 at milepost 105. That's approximately eight miles east of Mountain Home.
There were no injuries reported and there is no lane blockage currently.

Man arrested for kidnapping
Police arrested 23 year old Paulo Guiterrez-Valdez in Canyon County.
The Sheriff's office said they got a call of a domestic disturbance inolving a firearm.
When they arrived at the home, they found Guiterrez, another male, and the teenage girl at the home.
Police say that Guiterrez was holding the girl against her will.
The girl is from woods cross utah, and was treated and released from the West Valley Medical Center.
Guiterrez is charged with first degree kidnapping and felony domestic violence.

Body Found in Mountain Home
Police found a body Sunday afternoon in the C-J Strike Reservoir in Mountain Home .
The Sheriff’s offices doesn’t have any missing person reports and doesn’t know a cause of death.They say the body has been in the water for several weeks.

Shots fired in Meridian
Meridian police arrested two people in connection with a report of shots fired last night.
It happened just after 10:00pm at the Hopes Arm Apartment Complex.
Police stopped a suspect car from that shooting on the connector.
After questioning two people, police took them into custody.
Officers say no one was injured and they’re still investigating.

Car Crashes into KFC
This morning around 1:00 a car crashed into a KFC in Nampa, near the corner of Canyon and Caldwell Boulevard.
Nampa police say a man in his early 20’s was driving a Pontiac Firebird at about 80 miles an hour, when he lost control and crashed through some shrubs into the KFC.
Police are still looking for the driver.

Gowen Road reopens after crash
Gowen Road is open again following an accident on the westbound I-84 off-ramp. A tractor-trailer and sport utility vehicle collided shortly before 5 a.m. One injury was reported. We do not yet know the nature of the injury.

Truck crashes into Garden City home
Garden City Police are trying to determine how a truck crashed into a house early this morning. The accident happened just after 3:30 a.m., on Austin Street, just off of Chinden and Milstone. Police say the truck crashed through at least two fences and into the house. No serious injuries have been reported. Man stabbed at Idaho City bar overnight
Idaho City Police are investigating an overnight stabbing.
Dispatchers say it started as a bar fight at Harley's Pub on Main Street around 1:30 a.m.
Police say a woman pulled a knife and stabbed a 21-year-old man near his armpit.
He was taken to St Luke's with non life-threatening injuries.

Boise Police investigating overnight armed robbery
Boise Police are investigating an overnight armed robbery.
It happened at an apartment complex on the 1800 block of North Cole, just off Fairview.
Police say two men knocked on one of the apartment doors and asked to use the phone. The people who lived in the apartment told them no, and that's when the two suspects forced their way in. Police say both men had handguns, and they told the residents to get on the floor. They demanded money and a gun and then took off.
Police are looking for two white males in their late teens early 20's.
They're about six feet tall, one has light hair the other one dark hair.

Two women arrested in connection with Boise foothills murder
Two women were arrested early this morning in connection to Shawn Halcom's death. Halcom's body was found in the Boise foothills on May 9th. Nampa Police investigating a gang fight
Nampa Police Officers responded to the 1700 block of 1st Street North for a physical fight. Several Nampa residents were located and interviewed at the scene. A short time later, a 30 year-old Nampa man was treated at an area hospital for stab wounds received during this altercation. Nampa Police Officers are actively investigating this crime as gang-related.

Man arrested after leading Nampa Police on a chase
Nampa police officers responded to a reported check forgery in progress at the Jackson’s store on 22nd Avenue South in Nampa. When officers arrived in the area, the suspect, Matthew J. Heinzmann age 26, fled the parking lot in his vehicle. The officer attempted to perform a traffic stop on the vehicle and it failed to stop. The car continued for approximately two blocks and then crashed into some trees near the intersection of 24th Avenue South and 2nd Street. The suspect got out and fled on foot and was taken into custody after a short foot chase.
The suspect was transported to Mercy for medical clearance, and later taken to Canyon County Jail on numerous charges as well as several warrants.

Officer-involved shooting reported in Meridian
Meridian Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting.
Police responded to a domestic dispute on the 2800 block of North Valley Green around 12 a.m.

Deputies have identified the body found in the Boise foothills
Ada County Sheriff's Deputies say, with the help of fingerprint analysis, they have identified the body of a man found yesterday in the Boise foothills.

Shooting in Shoshone County
CALDER, Idaho -- Emergency officials confirm there has been a shooting in Calder, Idaho in rural Shoshone County.
A witness said a man shot his estranged wife, her parents and then tried to commit suicide. Authorities confirm three people are dead, including the gunman. One victim has been airlifted to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. Neighbors say the gunman was upset over his pending divorce.
According to dispatchers, both Shoshone and Benewah County authorities are investigating. A command post has been set-up near Calder.

British Prime Minister Tony Blair to step down June 27th
This morning Tony Blair said he will step down as British prime minister on June 27,after a decade in office.
He told supporters in his Parliamentary constituency of Sedgefield that he's served long enough and that "the only way you conquer the pull of power is to set it down."
Treasury chief Gordon Brown, Blair's partner in reforming the Labour Party and a sometimes impatient rival in government, is expected to easily win election as the party's new leader

Boise Fire Department quickly put out trailer fire
The Boise Fire Department is investigating a trailer fire in the Thunderbird Mobile Home Park on the 3900 block of East Amity Road.
According to dispatchers, the blaze sparked shortly after 2:30 a.m.
Three engines responded and quickly doused the fire before it caused too much damage. Fire investigators say no one was inside the trailer at the time of the fire.

Gas leak at Boise State University resolved
Boise State University buildings evacuated because of a gas leak are open again.
Boise police and fire crews and Intermountain Gas responded to a report of a leak this morning near the construction site for the new Interactive Teaching and Learning Center. Intermountain Gas has shut off the gas.

Deadly crash kills four on Interstate 84
A two-car accident has killed four people on Interstate 84 in Elmore County.
It happened just after 10 p.m., about 12 miles west of Mountain Home.
Police say a car driven by Gary Parmenter, Oregon, drifted off the road through the median and collided head-on with a car driven by 31-year-old Darci Woodruff, Twin Falls.
Woodruff along with 21-year-old Michael Rodrigues, Mountain Home, and two children were all killed in the crash. Three others were flown by helicopter to Boise area hospitals.
Traffic was shut down completely for about an hour until one lane was opened around 11 p.m. The second lane opened just after 2 a.m.
Idaho State Police and Elmore County Sheriff's Deputies are still investigating the accident to try and determine exactly what happened.

Boise Police arrest two robbery suspects
Boise Police catch two robbers in the act.
Just after one this morning, an alarm sounded at the Dairy Queen restaurant on the 1000 block of Overland Road.
When police arrived, two people were trying to escape out the back door.
One of the robbers took off on foot. Police chased him for about a block and a half until they were able to arrest him.
The two people were charged with burglary and booked into the Ada County Jail.

Flames scorch building near Idaho City
A fire ripped through the Old Pine Tavern on Robie Creek Road, about 6 miles off Highway 21, just south of Idaho City.
Fire crews from Robie Creek and Wilderness Ranch got the call just after 11, but by the time they arrived, flames fully engulfed the building and it was too late to put them out.
Fire investigators are calling it a complete loss.
No one was injured in the fire.

Semis collide on Highway I-84
Two tractor-trailer trucks collided around 3:30 this morning on westbound I-84 just East of Glenn’s Ferry.
The Elmore County Sheriff’s Department and Idaho State Police are still cleaning up the debris from that crash, which is blocking one of the westbound lanes.
One person was injured and transported by helicopter to St. Al’s. His condition is unknown.

al-Qaida leader in Iraq killed
BAGHDAD - The leader of al-Qaida in Iraq, Abu Ayyub al-Masri, was killed today in an "internal" fight between insurgents, the Interior Ministry spokesman told NBC News.
"We have intelligence reports that confirm he was killed," Brig. Gen. Abdul Kareem Khalaf told NBC.
"This was not an operation by the security forces, it was an internal battle that led to his death," Khalaf said. Reuters reported the battle happened near a bridge in the small town of al-Nibayi, north of Baghdad.
Another source in the ministry also told Reuters that al-Masri had been killed.
Both Khalaf and the other source in the ministry told Reuters that the authorities did not have al-Masri’s body.
