Couple arrested after high-speed chase in Ada County
A couple spent the night behind bars, after they lead police on a high speed chase.
Ada County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a call of a suspicious truck around 11:30 p.m., in the area of Amity and Cloverdale.
When officers tried to talk to the man and woman inside, they took off.
After following the two for almost two miles at a high rate of speed, deputies decided to lay down spike strips.
The spikes flattened the truck's two front tires and caused the driver to lose control and crash into a storage shed. The couple then took off on foot, but they were later arrested.
Deputies say both the man and woman had previous felony warrants out for their arrest.

Man dies after police-involved shooting in SE Boise store
BOISE - One man is dead after being shot by police at the Fred Meyer store on Federal Way. Police say they were called to the store just before 11 p.m. Monday -- just before closing.
According to police, a clerk said the man was trying to buy something with a bad check. Boise Deputy Police Chief Jim Kerns said the first officer at the scene got into a physical scuffle with the man at the front of the store. The man was able to escape, and pulled a knife as a second officer arrived. Kerns said both officers drew their guns and shot the man. He died after being taken to a Boise hospital. His age and name will be released by the Ada County Coroner after family members are notified. Kerns did say that officers at the scene knew he was wanted on a forgery warrant.
No customers were inside the store at the time of this incident, but several employees did see what happened. Also, Kerns says investigators will analyze and evaluate video from the store.
The two officers involved are now on three days administrative leave - which is normal protocol for the Boise Police Department. After the shooting, they were taken to a hotel to be interviewed and call their families. Kerns says one of the officers has been with the department for seven years, the other for two years.
The Garden City Police Department is leading a critical incident task force investigation. The task force will continue to investigate over the next several weeks, then forward information to the Ada County Prosecutor's Office.
This is the second police-involved shooting in the Treasure Valley in just a month. The last happened in a Canyon County field on March 22nd, leaving one man dead.

Boise police seek help in locating elderly woman
The Boise Police Department is investigating a missing person from the area of Vista and Nez Perce. At about 8 p.m. Sunday night, an officer took a missing person's report from the family of 78-year-old Lenora McFadden. The family told the officer that Mrs. McFadden left the Boise Airport on foot at about 5 p.m., and was last seen walking northbound on Vista Avenue from Nez Perce Street. Officers and the family are concerned because of Mrs. McFadden's age and the cold, rainy weather conditions.
Lenora McFadden is 5 feet, 7 inches tall, and weighs about 230 pounds. She has silver hair and brown eyes. Police say she was wearing a pink-and-white striped shirt and gray pants, and was carrying a red handbag. She wears glasses.
