Family of three dead in north Idaho trailer fire
COCOLALLA, Idaho (AP) -- A fire at a mobile home outside
Cocolalla has left a family of three dead.
Sagle Fire Chief Rob Goodyear says the single-wide trailer was
engulfed in flames when a neighbor reported the fire about 3:30
a.m. yesterday.
Dead in the blaze were 35-year-old Jayson Mitchell, 24-year-old
Brandy Post and the couple's five-month-old son.
Goodyear says the bodies were all found in the same area of the
mobile home, and all three apparently were overcome by heat and
smoke. He adds that fire started near the washing machine and
dryer, and the cause appears to be electrical.
Mitchell sold used cars and had a drywall business, and
neighbors say he and Post were friendly and hard working. One
neighbor, Robert Knowles, says the couple had been married less
than a year.
